We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a PhD in applied mathematics, computational engineering, or related fields who would like take part in making the automotive industry more economic and “greener”.
The ideal candidate is well acquainted with one or more of the following areas: scientific computing, partial differential equations, model reduction, surrogate modelling, software engineering, high-performance computing. The project may open up future career paths in academia as well as in industry.
Responsibilities/ Job Description
The project involves innovations that target energy savings corresponding to a yearly reduction of 1.5 million tons of C02! Tasks include the development and implementation of reduced-order and surrogate models for solver acceleration and surrogate-based optimization, respectively.
