A relevant PhD degree is required along with a record of publishing in international peer-reviewed journals and/or conference proceedings
- Experience with quantitative and/or qualitative research methods is an advantage
- Working knowledge of the Danish (Scandinavian) language is an advantage since it involves, among other things, reading documents in Danish and interaction with the study administration
Responsibilities/ Job Description
The position is in the context of the “Supporting Diversity via Inclusive Teaching/Learning Activities” project (workstream 12.2) under DIREC (Digital Research Centre Denmark): https://direc.dk/supporting-diversity-via-inclusive-teaching-learning-activities/
The candidate will work with identifying, analyzing, testing, comparing, and proliferating Danish initiatives aimed at increasing and supporting diversity in the context of Danish Computer Science educational programs. This involves the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of diverse students (e.g., female students or minority groups).

About the Department
In connection with the research, the candidate will be expected to co-author papers presumably aimed at the following computing education research venues: e.g., ACM Transactions on Computing Education (TOCE), Computer Science Education (CSE), ACM International Computing Education Research Conference (ICER), SIGCSE Technical Symposium (SIGCSE-TS), ACM Conference on Innovation and Technology in Computer Science Education (ITiCSE).The IT University of Copenhagen (ITU) is a teaching and research-based tertiary institution concerned with information technology (IT) and the opportunities it offers. The IT University has more than 160 full-time Faculty members. Research and teaching in information technology span all academic activities which involve computers including computer science, information and media sciences, humanities and social sciences, business impact, and the commercialization of IT.
Appointment and salary will be in accordance with the Ministry of Finance’s agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).
