    A two-year master’s degree (120 ECTS points) in Engineering/Physics or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year master’s degree.


    The assessment of the applicants will be made by a Department panel.


    We offer projects within a wide range of research topics, such as Quantum photonics, nanolaser physics, metamaterials, structured electromagnetic materials, plasmonics, and integrated photonics for optical signal processing in communications or sensing devices. We participate in three National Centers of Excellence and have state-of-the-art facilities for nanofabrication and experimental characterization as well as for doing high-performance computer simulations.

    About the department

    In the Nanophotonics Section at DTU Fotonik, we perform fundamental experimental and theoretical research on the physics of light-matter interaction and explore possibilities for realizing new and improved photonic devices. Important areas of applications include quantum technology, integrated photonics, and devices that reduce global energy consumption
