Applicant should hold a degree as laboratory technician with at least 1-year work-experience in the field of protein biochemistry.
Applicant must have work-related experienced in the use of standard protein biochemistry methods such as SDS-PAGE, protein quantification.
- Applicant must have work-related experience in the use of ELISA as an experimental setup to quantify protein and protein fragments.
- Experienced user of data analysis software such as Excel and Prism is preferred and experience with curve fitting is an advantage.
- Fluent in written and spoken English
The employed laboratory technician will be part of an on-going contract-based collaboration with a US based biotech company focused on developing drug candidates from natural enzymes. The position is a central part of an ongoing project pipeline and includes experimental work, data analysis and reporting. The employee is also expected to take part in laboratory and equipment upkeep, as well as provide input to new assays, laboratory procedures and publications.

About Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics
The Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics is part of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Aarhus University and comprises research within the areas of Gene Expression, Molecular Medicine, Structural Biology, Systems Biology and Plant Molecular Biology. There are currently 75 full time scientific staff and 120 PhD students. The department is responsible for two educations: Molecular Biology and Molecular Medicine with a yearly uptake of 160 students in total.
