    • The candidate should have strong theoretical, methodological and design­-oriented qualifications in the core of interaction design with interests in the design, construction, and use of interactive artifacts
      A good candidate is expected to conduct research contributing to several of the following areas: 
    • Design as a matter of concern, how design can critique, speculate on, and otherwise engage with societal issues
    • How design can engage in prototyping alternative futures 
    • How design can support and sustain new communities of practice 
    • How design can help build publics of care, for instance, around issues in healthcare, elderly care or environmental care
    • Material interaction and how the scope of materials used in interaction design can be broadened
    • The candidate should also be qualified in sketching and prototyping interactive artifacts through a variety of digital materials from Arduino to Web­-oriented tools
    • Generally, programming skills within Processing, JavaScript, Python, including open Frameworks or UX wireframing tools will be an advantage
    • The candidate is also expected to supervise bachelor and master theses within interaction design
      The ideal candidate should document:
    • Publications of research at a high international level in well-respected peer reviewed venues
    • Competences in developing and conducting teaching that is well received by students
    • A record of contributing to the goals of the institutions in which he/she has worked, for example participation in committees, etc.
      In addition, candidates for the position should be able to:
    • Attract external research funding
    • Supervise PhD students
    • Read/speak a Scandinavian language (or have the willingness to learn Danish)

    • To contribute to the IT University’s vision of creating and sharing knowledge that is profound and leads to ground-breaking information technology and services for the benefit of humanity
    • To contribute to the Digital Design Departments research profile combining design thinking with technological tools, material exploration, digital media and co-design

    • Preferably documentation of both a) received observation and feedback on teaching, b) pedagogical training courses as a teacher, c) a formal written assessment of teaching competence and d) a teaching record within one or more of the teaching areas listed for the position
